The shoulder girdle and pelvic girdle are two of the most important regions of the body in yoga. For healthy, effective movement, both need a full range of motion, along with strength, coordination, and balance among all the muscles involved.
In this workshop, we will look at the common restrictions and imbalances that can limit our practice and keep us from the full benefits of many postures. A clearer understanding of applied anatomy and biomechanics will help you analyze and truly understand the structure of asanas commonly taught in yoga studios.
We will explore in detail:
Use of props (blocks, straps, blankets, bolsters, and the wall)
Modifications and variations of asanas
Hands-on assists and adjustments
Alignment principles
Partner work
You will leave with practical tools to deepen your practice and move with greater ease, stability, and confidence.
I look forward to see you on the mat!

Through regular classes, workshops, intensive programs, and teacher trainings, he shared his passion for yoga with thousands of students across Taiwan, Japan, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, China, and Thailand. During his time in Asia, he also studied Tui Na, an ancient therapeutic massage technique, as well as Traditional Taiwanese Structural Therapy.
In 2011, Adnan returned to Canada and began a five-year degree program in osteopathy. He has been offering yoga therapy since 2011 and practicing osteopathy at his private clinic in Ottawa since 2014.
Adnan is fluent in French and English and also speaks some German, Mandarin, and Japanese. His sense of humor and compassionate nature are deeply appreciated by both his patients and his students.
